Our Story

Blanca grew up in Monterrey, Mexico — a vibrant city of more than five million people. Years later, she made the brave decision to move to the United States in search of greater opportunity for her children. After spending a few years teaching school in Waco, Texas, she followed her heart (and her curiosity) to Houston, drawn by its diversity, energy, and endless possibilities.

Rex, on the other hand, comes from a very different place.

He grew up in 56, Arkansas — a town with approximately 150 people. Rex has lived all over the country, collecting friendships, stories, and experiences along the way, but Houston eventually became home, where he has spent much of his adult life.

Their worlds finally collided thanks to the most scientific and foolproof matchmaking method known to humanity:

Match.com.

Rex created what can only be described as a highly selective search. Two matches appeared.

Two.

His eyes immediately landed on Blanca.

He sent her a message.

She didn’t reply.

He waited a day.

He tried again.

This time, she responded — and they ended up chatting all day. Two days later, they met for lunch.
